CLIENT BRIEF
From the name Luna, you can tell this is an artistic home that is nurturing for the young. Very light and subtle tones are being used around the house to make it a very Kinfolk style. It is a minimalistic home with a tasteful choice of wall tiles and wall textures, that brings out the beauty in the play of colours.
The foundation of Luna is in a grey and neutral canvas with warm wood tones. A space where calming neutrals and warm wood tones meet the lively energy of eclectic pops of teal, and purple - a blend of vibrancy and charm that captivates the senses and delights the soul.
Against this neutral canvas, pops of color come to life, injecting personality and playfulness to the living room. A velvet sofa in a shade of teal creates a sense of depth and richness, while a vintage rug in a kaleidoscope of colors anchors the space with its eclectic charm, their textures enticing guests to sink into their depths.
In the dining area, a warm wood dining set is set against a backdrop of grey cabinetry with brass accents. Hints of blue and subtle pink hues in the floor tiles complete the scene by adding a sense of whimsy and charm to the space, inviting guests to gather and linger over good food and lively conversation.
Throughout the master bedroom, unexpected details delight at every turn - a bold purple ceiling, velvet royal blue draperies and a teal shower area in the bathroom, each shade adds depth and dimension, creating a sense of drama and intrigue.
Living-dining and kitchen open area to be the centerpiece work of the place. Light-colored wood, white / grey / neutral colors all round. Would also love to have some white marble and brass accents
As our clients wanted an open kitchen space to host and entertain their guests, the dining, kitchen and yard area had to be combined into one space.
We do so by maximising every available wall space with kitchen cabinets while keeping the washer and dryer at the corner. This arrangement allows the dining table to be at the center, turning the whole dining-kitchen space to be a centerpiece of Luna.
