"We wanted a home with a timeless interior that aligned to both of our sense of aesthetics, as well as a cozy yet functional space which can last us for the next 5 - 10 years.
Glorious State was a recommendation by a friend who is in the line of design work. He’s been following Glorious State on IG for a while then and is a fan of their design thought process and end product.
As with all homeowners looking to renovate their homes, we reached out a few IDs, including Glorious State. Berinda and team really stood out in terms of personalizing the design to our needs, instead of doing up a cookie cutter design like some larger ID firms we’ve spoken to. Berinda’s sense of aesthetics is also closely aligned to ours.
Berinda and team have a very established space planning design process which we truly appreciate. It starts off with an understanding of our vision for the home, followed by some homework on our end - to gather designs and styles that we like on pinterest so they get a sense of our aesthetics. This sets a good foundation for subsequent phases of the project where the same consistent design elements and considerations get cascaded down to the nitty gritty details.
As the Glorious State team really took time to understand our current and future needs, they were able to give very practical advice which also aligned to our aesthetic requirements. They are very detailed, from colors to textures to furniture and ornaments.
Almost 3 years living in our home, we still love every bit of it. Very often, after returning from an overseas trip, stepping into our home really gives us a great sense of comfort.
When friends or family visit, what struck them immediately is how bright and airy the house is, as well as our unique shoji door inspired study, which lets in more light and visually enlarges the living area.
I would definitely recommend Glorious State! If you’re looking for an ID with a warm personality, great sense of design, eye for detail, and provides practical recommendations, do check out Glorious State!"
